Selected grapes from old vines grown in the highest areas of the Rioja Alavesa, near to the Sierra Cantabria Mountains. Traditional production methods including gentle winemaking processes to maximise fruit expression. Temperature-controlled fermentation.
25 months in French oak barrels. The wine remains in the bottle for at least 36 months
Intense and bright garnet red colour.
Complex and delicate with a first wave of notes of ripe and dried fruit, such as prunes, figs and raisins over a background of delicate aromas of French oak, including menthol and cinnamon.
Smooth-textured and sweet in flavour, it is well balanced with delicate acidity and a flavourful finish.
