- Production process
-
Selection of grapes from old vines, located in the most iconic areas of Rueda: some with typical gravelly soils, rich in calcium and magnesium, which provide a mineral character and body in the mouth; and others at higher altitude, more slate-based soils and with a slightly different Verdejo clone that provides a greater variety of complex aromas.
- Ageing
-
After monitoring ripeness, the grapes are harvested by hand, first thing in the morning, in small 15 kg crates. The grapes pass along a selection table with only the best bunches used. The must was extracted using gentle pressing, and a cold clarification was carried out to clean and stabilize the must before alcoholic fermentation in oak barrels, where it was left on its lees for 8 months.
-
colour
The wine appears bright yellow in colour, with golden highlights.
-
aroma
Very elegant aromas with mineral notes. Citrus notes, grapefruit, combined with creamy and bready notes.
-
Flavour
Intense, powerful, expressive with great balance between fruit, acidity and oak. Great varietal expression. Rounded, full of flavour, with a long finish.
